Bible Distribution
Hispanics really enjoy receiving a copy of The Bible in their own language (Spanish). Most of the people that we work with know “things” about the Bible but they do not read the Bible. Part of our ministry is Bible Distribution in the areas of Alabama and foreign cities where we want to start churches.
We give away many New Testaments, some for adults and some for children. The children’s New Testament is an illustrated Bible, in the format of the comics. It is great for children and even adults that do not know how to read. It shows the New Testament Gospels in picture format. The Bible that we give to adults is the “Here’s Hope” New Testament. In Spanish, it is called “Hay Esperanza” which means “There is HOPE”. The “Hay Esperanza” New Testament has the plan of salvation marked in it so Dominicans can understand how to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Often we buy Holy Bibles (Santa Biblia) that have the Old and New Testaments to give away. We give these Bibles to new Christians that are in our Bible study classes, church workers, or to families as gifts. We usually use the King James or NIV equivalent in Spanish.
We love to give out the Word of God and the Hispanics love to receive it. We always give Bibles to the children who attend our Backyard Bible Clubs and Vacation Bible Schools. Also, we give Bibles out when we show the Jesus Film or another Christian video. We give Bibles at orphanages, to people on the street, to police and security guards, and to anyone else who wants one. We always enjoy giving Bibles away in the neighborhoods when we start a new Bible study and want to begin a new church.
Sometimes we also share Christian tracts with those that we are working with. A popular tract that we often give away is the blue “Vida Eterna” tract, which in English is “Eternal Life”. We use these tracts and Bibles when we are sharing with someone the plan of salvation.
Prayer Requests: 1. Pray that Hispanics will desire to read and hide “God’s Word” in their hearts. 2. Pray that through Bible distribution here and in other countries, Spanish Speakers will accept Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life.
The Bibles we purchase usually cost from $2.50 to $7.50 each plus shipping and we order them in cases of 20-24 each. If you would like to provide Bibles or tracts for local distribution or for the next foreign mission trip then contact one of the HHIM staff members. Thanks |

One ministry site is Faith Community Church in Enterprise ALabama. Faith was started over ten years ago in a mobile home park on the west side of town. During this time, more and more Hispanics have moved in to live in this area. Most of them come to our area looking for a job so they can work and make their lifelong dreams come true.
